Unakite is a microcrystalline variety of Quartz, a silicon dioxide mineral with a hexagonal crystal with a hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Moh scale. The major deposits are found in South Africa and Brazil. Unakite has strong healing properties for the heart and the body.
