Black Tourmaline is part of the family of Tourmaline, of which comes in various colors and shapes. Tourmaline is a complex aluminum borosilicate with a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Moth scale. Its crystal pattern is hexagonal with prismatic crystals and striations running parallel to the main axis.
