Bloodstone (also known as Heliotrope) is a microcrytalline or cryptocrystalline variety of quartz belonging to the Chalcedony mineral group. It carreis a 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. 

Origin: From Madagascar. Major deposits are found in Australia, Brazil and Madagascar. Liimited deposits can also be found in United States, China, and Bulgaria. 

Size: 0.8inch to 1.0-inches, Weight: 0.0250 Lbs. Specimen can vary in size and color intensity. This stone has been saged and comes in a velvet pouch with a descriptor card detailing its metaphysical properties.
