Details:

Bronzite belongs to the mineral group known as pyroxene, and so is a silicate compound of magnesium.  The crystal system is orthorhombic, meaning its crystal system has three unequal axes at right angles. Found all over the world, in igneous rocks, and  discovered in meteorites. Rather than a distinct species, it is really a ferriferous variety of enstatite, which owing to partial alteration has acquired a bronze-like sub-metallic luster on the cleavage surfaces. Has a hardness of 5.5 on the Mohs scale.

Size: 1.5 to 2.0 inches, Weight: Specimens vary in shape, size in length, and color intensity.
