Charoite is a complex mineral combining potassium. sodium, calcium bariusm strontium, oxygen, silicon and hydrogen. Its formation is monoclinic, occurimg primarily in dense fibrous aggregates with a hardness of 6 on the Mohs scale. 

Origin: From Russia. Main deposits are found in Siberia where it derives the name from the Chaco River .
