Cinnabar Quartz  is a combination of Quartz Matrix and Cinnabar and has a trigonal system with a trapezohedral structure,  It carres a 7 on the Mohs scale for the surrounding quartz material, the cinnabar inclusions carry a 2 to 2.5 hardness on the Mohs scale.
