Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar with a triclinic crystal structure and a hardness of 6 to 6.5 on the Moh scale. It is treasured for its remarkable play of color (labradorescence), which shows vivid flashes of green, blue, gold, orange, red and sometime violet. It is found mostly in Canada, Madagascar.
