Fluorite is a calcium fluoride crystal with a harness of 4 on the Mohs scale. It grows in a cubic or octahedral pattern and is found in hydrothermal veins associated with Quartz, Barite and Calcite. Fluorite comes in a wide range of colors and can also come in varied colors within one stone. Fluorite is named after is fluorescence properties which appears under ultraviolet light.

Rainbow Fluorite is found in Germany, England, Argentina and U.S.A, and China.
